Look for us this summer! The Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy and the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation are once again teaming up to offer Movies With a View 2007.
Calling All Filmmakers!
The Movies With a View Film Committee is looking for short films to screen before our main features at this summer's free film series in Brooklyn Bridge Park. The series runs for eight Thursday nights beginning July 5.
Shorts 10 min. and under (no subtitles please -- our screen cannot accommodate them) from all genres will be reviewed. We prefer shorts that are appropriate for a wide audience. Those with a Brooklyn connection are especially welcome.
This is a great opportunity for filmmakers* to be seen by an audience averaging between 2,000-3,000 people on any given night. Each selected participant will be given credit in our nightly program.
To be considered, please send a VHS or DVD screening copy of your short no later than May 1, 2007 to:
Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy
Attn: Film Committee
334 Furman Street
Brooklyn, NY 11201
You may also drop off a copy at our office during business hours. Please include your name, address, e-mail, phone number and length of film on your entry. Tapes will not be returned unless a postage-paid envelope is included.
*Unfortunately we cannot provide any compensation to filmmakers. Your entry will be screened by our all-volunteer film series committee. We hope to have our shorts chosen by the end of May, and will notify selected filmmakers soon after.
Questions? E-mail Jacqui Lipson at the Conservancy.

Movies With a View is made possible by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy and the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation with the cooperation of the Brooklyn Bridge Park Development Corporation.
