Fun Fact
The plants around the park cove, put in place by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, include many native coastal species. The plants were intentionally chosen to provide highly diversified feeding and nesting habitats for birds, and to attract pollinators, especially butterflies.

By Subway

The 2/3/4/5/M/R to Borough Hall station. Head south on Court Street towards Atlantic Avenue. Make a right onto Atlantic Avenue and continue towards the East River. Cross under the BQE and continue to the end of Atlantic Avenue. The Pier 6 park entrance will be straight ahead at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Furman Street.

The A/C/F to Jay Street/Borough Hall. Head west on Fulton Street towards Borough Hall. Turn left onto Boerum Place and continue south towards Atlantic Avenue. Make a right onto Atlantic Avenue and continue towards the East River. Cross under the BQE and continue to the end of Atlantic Avenue. The Pier 6 park entrance will be straight ahead at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Furman Street.

By Bus

The B63 stops at the terminus of Atlantic Avenue, at Columbia Street.

By Water

Seasonal ferry service on Saturdays and Sundays shuttles passengers between Pier 6, Fulton Ferry Landing and South Street Seaport. On Fridays, the ferry adds a stop at Governors Island and offers free bike passage! Check out ferry schedules and fares http://nyharborway.com/.

By Car

From Manhattan via the Brooklyn Bridge: Head Southeast on Brooklyn Bridge, continue on to Adams Street, turn right on Joralemon Street, then turn left at Furman Street.

From Brooklyn: Head to Downtown area: Head South on Court Street to Remsen Street, turn right at Joralemon Street, then turn left at Furman Street.

From Long Island: Take I-495 west (LIE). Take Exit #17 onto I-278west (BQE). From I-278, take Exit #29 onto Tillary Street. Drive west on Tillary Street. Turn right onto Cadman Plaza West. Next head south on Cadman Plaza W toward Clark Street, take the 1st right onto Clark Street, then make the 2nd left onto Henry Street, next turn right at Joralemon Street, then make last left at Furman Street.

From All Points South: Take the Verrazano Bridge to Brooklyn. Exit onto I-278 west (BQE), travel approximately 3-4 miles. Exit at Cadman Plaza West and head towards the waterfront. Follow directions above.
