Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy: Get Involved

Help us make Brooklyn Bridge Park grow!

In 1704, Ferry Road to Fulton Ferry Landing was laid out and soon became the principal road in the Brooklyn for farmers bringing their produce and livestock to Manhattan. The fare was 1/48th of a dollar and passengers had to share the ride with cattle, chickens, pigs, sheep, and other game. Farmers could pay their fare in kind.
